Clicking on a title will give you access to program notes, free streaming/downloadable audio, and in many cases, downloadable PDFs of the sheet music. While some recordings are high quality, others are less so, and some are MIDI realizations. If you have recordings of any pieces, please email [email protected].
Sheet music is free to download, and donations are gladly accepted. Your donations keep this site running and support the creation of new work. Thank you for supporting the work of living composers.
This page, and the pages it links to, will be constantly updated with new pieces, new recordings, and downloadable sheet music. In other words, please come back frequently. Please note that this page is currently a work-in-progress. Not all titles are links; not all links are active; many pieces are missing entirely. My goal is, time permitting, to add one piece every week.
With the exceptions of “Missa Brevis” and “All Flesh is Grass,” all pieces are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License and published by Bickerstaff and Sons (ASCAP). This means that you are free to download, print, photocopy, perform, share, and even adapt these pieces; the provisions are that you must attribute me (Chris Massa) for the original work, you must share any revisions you make under the same license, and you must receive permission from the licensor (me again) for any use “primarily intended for commercial advantage or or monetary compensation,” i.e., to produce a commercial recording. For more information about why I use Creative Commons, please read this, and if you have any questions, please email [email protected].
