Prelude, Cadenza and Fugue
Prelude, Cadenza and Fugue is a prelude (introductory material), followed by a cadenza (semi-improvisational material that displays the virtuosity of the musicians), and concluding with a fugue (a baroque-era form based on imitative counterpoint, development, and repetition).
The prelude and fugue are inspired and heavily by the music of J. S. Bach, also known as the greatest musician of all time, although it sounds nothing like his music, nor is it intended to. |
